Brian and I are ready to get married. A couple weeks ago Brian told me he originally did not know how much went into planning a wedding. I on the other hand knew it would be a lot! I do not like worrying about the little details that are left. Cause really everything else was pretty easy we are just now waiting on time and others mostly...
Life update for us: we have decided Brian will be going to Asbury this Fall (in KY) for Seminary! This is very exciting because it has been almost a year of in-decisions and now we have a decision. We just do not have all the details. The lease for my apartment (which is where we will be living once we are married) is until June 20th. SO we have job and a home until then...
We will move to KY as soon as one of us gets a job and we have housing squared away...we did make the decision to go to Asbury before the financial aid came back for this next school year. We are waiting to hear back from 3 different scholarships/financial aid. And Brian has one more to work on before we get married in April. Super blessed that we have more financial aid options (which increases the chances of getting more money) this fall compared to last fall when Brian originally applied.
Asbury is where we wanted to be able to go and we are stepping out in faith that God will continue to provide for all of our needs above and beyond anything we can imagine. The community and school (and for me the state) have attracted us there. I am really excited to live in KY and I am excited to begin a new chapter in my life as a married couple. I believe it will be a great time for both Brian and I and a great place to start our marriage.
Still been dreaming up jobs and such that I may be able to do while there. We will be paying for his school (whatever does not get covered) and paying off our student loans that we have so it will be a lot but we are sure God will provide. Someone asked me if I would be going back to school (mind you I would love to) but if its not paid for then as of right now I wont because a lot of our student debt is already from me. But I have dreamed of jobs that would pay for me to continue my education and just take one class a semester and finish a masters while Brian is doing his. We will see what will come but I am confident in God providing something I love and not just a transitional position.
Prayers for God's continual provision and faithfulness in our lives is always appreciated. As well as for the two applications I will be submitting tomorrow!
A few days ago Brian told me spouses can audit classes for free at Asbury and (although I would love to get another degree if I am spending the time in class) I LOVE to learn and think I will have to take a class or two!
I am finally at the place in the wedding planning that things are coming along and starting to happen. Showers are coming up and decorations are finally finalized (what a headache with not being able to hang very much!) And I feel like I am finally enjoy this time! (i know it will be short lived because of moving and job searches but it will be good nonetheless!)
