So work and life has been kind of crazy since some awesome things have come up {Getting sick. And being sick still for two weeks because the meds were not the right kind} but I am glad that I now get to share them with you....the 700 calls I had to make also took up a lot of my time...
New Job!
On Monday August 1st I will be moving downstairs to Academic Support Programs. I am super excited because it will be a nice (and much needed) change in pace. I will have tons to do and all of my co-workers down there are awesome. It also helps that they are so excited for me to come down and work with them! I definitely feel welcomed! I will also not dread going to work everyday and I will get paid a little more which is a plus.
Lets just say that I will be very happy to rid myself of my current position and I will have successfully called my 700 students before I leave!(and it will have only taken 6 days)
Haiti Fundraiser!
Some awesome woman at the church I work with Children's Ministry at are awesome! (to say the least!)
I am so excited and honored that they would think of having a fundraiser for me and my trip to Haiti. On August 14th right after church we are having a lunch fundraiser with a silent auction! I felt very special when they thought that up by themselves and just informed me of it ;) So blessed.
It is so funny how you can pray for the same things over and over again and feel like God has not heard you (and me not being very patient doesn't make it any easier to wait on his timing) and within 2hours on one day about 5 different prayers of my heart were answered through these two things that happened and are going to be coming up! Thank you God :) You are GOOD!
P.S. It has been a crazy last two weeks and the craziness will continue with this Saturday marking 6 months without my mom. The irony is I was sick for two weeks before she died just like I have been sick now. Its like I am reliving the days up to the day I received the call from my sister about my mom...
It will be good to go over labor day to Missouri to check in on the family! :)
